What is the Vocabulary Builder System?
The Vocabulary Builder System is an interactive web-based Flash Card system because words are represented on virtual Flash Cards. But unlike traditional flash cards that you'd make at home these use audio, text, and images to teach vocabulary words. This approach involves all of your senses during the learning process - making learning faster, easier, and much more fun!

The Vocabulary Builder System does the following:

• Burns words into your mind through audio/visual representations.

What are the advantages of using the Vocabulary Builder System alongside Pimsleur?

Pimsleur is excellent at teaching you how to speak a foreign language conversationally. We don't know of any language program that does a better job of this! After finishing 1 or more Pimsleur Comprehensive courses, you'll have an excellent understanding of how to build sentences and in general you'll feel very comfortable with your target language. Using our Vocabulary Builder System with Pimsleur, you'll have a better basis for communicating since it extends what you'll learn - sharpening your ability to converse in your new language.

Here's an example: After studying Pimsleur you'll be able to say "I would like to eat something." This is a very general sentence. What if you really want something specific to eat such as an apple or an orange? You won't know how to say this.

This is where the Vocabulary Builder System kicks in, taking your foreign language conversational skills to the next level. When you study Pimsleur and the Vocabulary Builder System side-by-side, you'll be able to take the sentences you learned in your Pimsleur course and turn them into many more sentences to express specific ideas.

Now getting back to our example. You'll now be able to take the sentence you learned in your Pimsleur course; "I would like to eat something" and turn it into "I would like to eat an apple" or "I would like to eat an orange" or "I would like to eat some chocolate ice cream", etc. I think you get the point.

There are many examples like this throughout the Pimsleur course. Once you start using the Vocabulary Builder System in tandem with Pimsleur you'll notice a significant increase in your ability to communicate in the language you're learning. It's as simple as that!
